Membership

• Respect the spirit of fair play in hockey. Promote the reputation of the sport and take all possible steps to prevent it from being brought into disrepute. Show team spirit and positive sporting behaviour, on and off the field.

• Play within the rules at all times.

• Respect the rights, dignity and worth of others including colleagues, coaches, opponents, spectators and decisions of officials.

• Conduct themselves in a manner that takes all reasonable measures to protect their own safety and the safety of others. Members should wear suitable kit (including shin pads and gum shields) for training and match sessions, as agreed with coach/team captain. Be Covid secure by following the guidelines.

• Protect others involved in the game from verbal or physical abuse and threatening or intimidating behaviour

• Never use inappropriate language or gestures. Racial and homophobic behaviour is not acceptable in person or on-line.

• Abide by the EH Safeguarding and Protecting Young People in Hockey Policy and Procedures and Good Practice Guidelines.

• Take personal responsibility to ensure that they are suitably insured for their activities. Members must pay any fees for subs, matches or events promptly.

• Members are not allowed to smoke on club premises including the MUGA.

• Junior members are not allowed to smoke, consume alcohol or drugs of any kind on the club premises or whilst representing the club at competitions or club events.

 

Any breach of these rules may lead to disciplinary action by the Club.
